How do I make a donation to GroundWork group?
GroundWork group is happy to accept donations of cash, securities and other substantive items. To make a cash donation, you may send a check made payable to "GroundWork group" to:

How do I donate used equipment to GroundWork group?
GroundWork group accepts quality used computer equipment that meets the current used equipment standard. We will also accept donations of some other types of office equipment (fax machines, scanners etc.) if deemed to be quality, useable machines with significant useful life, in working condition, and if we know there are members who have requested such equipment. Please contact us to further discuss equipment donations.

How do I volunteer?
GroundWork group involves volunteers in many ways. For example:
  • We link IT professionals with nonprofit agency boards of directors
  • We link IT professionals with technical skills to agencies with short-term IT projects.
  • We recruit volunteers to serve on various GroundWork group committees to develop and assess pilot projects and create quality educational offerings
  • We invite IT professionals to respond to email technology questions and facilitate on-line chats/message boards to assist nonprofit organizations in getting quality answers to IT questions

How do I become a member?
Membership is open to all nonprofit organizations with annual budgets of at least $25,000/year, that are 501 (c) organizations. To become a member we ask that you complete a short application and pay an annual membership fee. Follow this link for more information

How do I evaluate a technology proposal?
GroundWork group offers workshops and consultation specifically for foundations and other funders interested in funding technology applications. Please contact usto discuss your specific needs.
I need a database – how do I know which one to select?
GroundWork group members may use the consultation services included in their membership and attend GroundWork Group sponsored database training classes to learn how to effectively select a database. Please contact us for more information.

Where can I find quality IT training for my staff?
GroundWork group has a variety of Education and Training programs available to all nonprofits. GroundWork Group can also assist member organizations in assessing the level of staff expertise with various software products and locating appropriate classroom, video or on-line training for the level of need. How do I get used computers or other office equipment?
Quality, used equipment is available to GroundWork group members on a first-come, first served basis and is subject to fluctuations in supply. Please contact us for more membership information.

When is the next Innovations Awards Contest?
GroundWork group sponsors periodic Innovations Awards Contests for members to highlight the great ways that nonprofit organizations are using technology to advance their missions. These contests are open to members only.

Where can I find funding for IT initiatives?
GroundWork group is aware that many funding sources are reluctant to fund IT initiatives. GroundWork group will assist member organizations by helping create a quality IT plan and funding proposal. GroundWork group maintains a funder's forum where quality IT projects are posted. GroundWork group works diligently to find funders and encourages them to visit the site to select quality projects for funding. GroundWork group also provides training sessions and consultation to funders to assist them in making wise investments in technology projects. For more information please contact us.
